"First Snow"

It is common to have an early snowfall in the mountains of New Mexico. This one stayed around for 5 days. Here it is early morning before there are footprints of man or beast. Fresh snow has the quality of soft shadows which create wonderful shadows. In painting it, I get a thrill from laying down the pure whites, as though I'm playing with snow.

I think this is the best thing you have done, that I've seen anyway. Nice depth, good focus. It looks like it is inviting you in. Colors are true and rich. Keep up the great work!
