There are few buildings in the Tampa Bay area that are painted more than then the historic Don Ce Sar in St Petersburg Beach. The hotel is clearly regal...thus the title "His Majesty". While this is a traditional type of a pose, the viewpoint is not commonly painted as it is seen from the bridge that spans the Intercoastel from Tiere Verde to St Pete Beach.

I'm working on doing an entire series of paintings which will portray the Cibola National Forest here in Datil, New Mexico. To that end, I've been hiking and climbing here in the mountain forest taking pictures of the remnants of our last snowfall. Here is an 8 x 10 inch painting that I just did from one of those photos. I'm calling it "A Forest Enchantment". It was done with palette knife and brush.

I guess you can say this is a scene from my back yard....Davenport Mountain, Datil, New Mexico. For those of you who are not Westerners, the yellow stuff in the bottom of the painting is called rabbit brush. This is piece is part of a project I've taken on to do a painting a day.
