One of those perfect beach mornings. The light changes quickly during sunrise, so I took about 10 pictures and came up with this painting.

An outstanding sunset on Treasure Island inspired this one. The fun and frolicking of the party on the sailboat could be heard from the beach.

"Jacaranda" by Jack Providenti

Jack Providenti
12 x 16 inches, oil on canvas

The Jacaranda is the purplish pink tree, and while it is only part of this scene, it is what inspired this painting. Here it appears more pink than purple, and that is due to the time of day as well as the colors of the surrounding trees. This is another painting from Coffee Pot Bayou, St Petersburg, FL.

"Trawler at the Dock" by Jack Providenti

"Trawler at the Dock"

11 x 14 inches, oil on canvas

Here is a taste of the colorful commercial fishing community in Madiera Beach Florida. I've met several of the captains & crew when I used to be a part time taxi driver along the beaches in Pinellas County. They are an adventurous lot. I think they may be descendants of the old world pirates!

Breaking Dawn, Coffee Pot Bayou by Jack providenti

"Daybreak, Coffee Pot Bayou"
24 x 24 inches, oil on canvas

Coffee Pot Bayou is an historic landmark in Old St Petersburg, FL. Here in the quiet of early morning, the shadows of night begin to take on color from the breaking sunlight.
