The story behind this painting: It is a copy of a very old painting that I bought at a flea market many years ago. I had it appraised, and the most they could determine is that it was most likely a scene from Sicily. The original was accidentally destroyed ( that's another story) and I was feeling a huge loss, so I painted my own version of it!
