"Honoring A Love" by Jack Providenti

"Honoring A Love"
oil on canvas

Not free wheeling or impressionistic, but a painting that I did from a photo of my Mom & Dad's wedding...I'm guessing, 1939? http://jackprovidenti.fineartstudioonline.com/

"Beachin At Fort DeSoto" by Jack Providenti

Beachin At Fort DeSoto
12" x 24" oil on canvas. gallery wrapped.

I have a thing for umbrellas. The deep reds in this one caught me. There were people there....behind that dune, you'll need to use your imagination to see them! I was plein air painting there and saw this as I was packing up, so I took a picture and painted it at home. Available at http://jackprovidenti.fineartstudioonline.com

"Honering A Love" by Jack Providenti

Honering A Love" oil on canvas 16" x 20"

"Honering A Love" I painted this from an old photo...my parents, married around 1938. For some reason, painting my dad was easy, but I struggled with my mom. Kept hearing her say " Jackie, my lipstick was darker, my hair had more curls!" Frued would have fun with that one!. Whatever...Here's to you Mom & Dad...love ya both. By the way....just asking.....does an oil painting such as this seem like a good gift to a mom or dad? Husband or wife?

A Look At Love" by Jack Providenti

" A look At Love"
Oil on canvas, 12" x 12"

"A Look At Love" ....and a question. This is what two people look like when they are in love. I happened to be painting on the beach when I passed by the wedding. I was touched.....took several pics and did this painting. Now I'm wondering.....would it be a good idea to offer this as a special service...to preserve moments such as this in a painting done in oils?

Finished this a while ago....

An intimate moment!
