Florida Botanical Gardens " Quick Draw" competition. First Place, Jack Providenti

I'm honored to have my painting selected for 1st Place at the Florida Botanical Gardens "Diggin The Arts" Qick Draw competition. We had 2hrs to complete a painting yesterday.

Jack Providenti: I paint to celebrate nature and to honor people who are celebrating life. Art, wether it is practiced or purchased, will heal & inspire, it will reveal the extraordinary in what previously seemed ordinary. It also helps us re-experience precious moments. I'm using the skills I've learned in order to inspire an emotional response. I emphasize the play of natural light In my paintings and use color generously combined with brush strokes that capture fleeting and treasured moments. I love to paint outdoors as well as in my studio. Being actively immersed in nature contributes to a soulful expression of her many moods. My seascapes and portraits have been hailed by patrons as stunning, vivid and emotionally stirring.
